Barentin, cit\u00e9 des arts est connue notamment pour son mus\u00e9e dans la rue dont le Pr\u00e9sident Andr\u00e9 Marie (Maire de Barentin de 1945 \u00e0 1974) fut le fondateur, appliquant sa devise \u00ab la contemplation du beau commande la pratique du bien \u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00c0 partir de 1948, bustes, statues provenant soit de r\u00e9serves de mus\u00e9es nationaux, d\u2019achats ou de dons prennent place dans nos rues et carrefours permettant de concr\u00e9tiser son id\u00e9e qui \u00e9tait d\u2019amener ses compatriotes \u00e0 d\u00e9couvrir l\u2019un des tr\u00e9sors de la sculpture, qu\u2019elle soit classique ou d\u2019inspiration contemporaine. Ce mus\u00e9e en plein air regroupe de nombreuses oeuvres, dont celles d\u2019Antoine Bourdelle, Hubert Yencesse, Paul Niclausse\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La municipalit\u00e9 actuelle perp\u00e9tue son \u0153uvre en faisant restaurations et entretiens r\u00e9guliers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
